Before indoor plumbing

I thought I would share with you how life was before indoor plumbing came to the Lambert farm. These chairs were here when we bought the property..honestly! Someone just dug a hole under this chair and cut a hole in the chair. Can you image? We knew that it would take us a long time to build our house so we built a bath house first. It has a shower, sink, toilet, hot water heater, the whole nine yards. It is the best little outhouse in the neighborhood! It is hysterical because our neighbors literally bring their friends down to see it.

Well, if you don't have indoor plumbing, I guess having a world class outhouse is second best. Certainly better than a port-a-potty! I recall my uncle doing the hole cut in the chair thing... On the upside, now if you have friends come out camping they'll have a bathroom to use without tracking through your house!

I am proud to say I have taken advantage of your cutting edge facilities. I am happy about your new indoor plumbing and septic system. Although, I think you will look back on those days and miss them. You know the old adage "getting there is half the fun". Keep up the good work on your blog! I am happy to see some new posts and I am enjoying it very much! Love ya, Cammy

Hey! I still use the chair. It goes well with our tipi theme. You better not move em. Hope the neighbors don't show up during my constitutional. Boy! That'd be awkward.

Hey Girl,
I love the outhouse...hope that you keep it. It is the most elaborate one that I have ever been "privy" to use. LOL

Well, I can honeslty say it's the best out house that I've ever used. And that's a lot since it's not the only outhouse I've used. But, I'm glad that I will be able to enjoy a shorter walk next time I'm there to visit.
